Who’s behind this blog?

I’m glad you found your way here and want to know a bit more about me.

I’m Kris, a lifelong dog lover and the person who created this blog.

Just like you, I adore dogs. My first dog was a mixed-breed boy named Bobby. I got him when I was just six years old. And like so many dog owners, my family knew very little about Bobby’s needs or what made him the dog he was.

We had questions like:

  • What food is actually best for him?
  • How do we keep Bobby from running into the street?
  • Why does he keep scooting his butt across the carpet?
  • What should his sleeping area look like?
  • …and so many more.

Together with other writers and dog-savvy experts who share this passion, we’ve made it our mission to explore interesting topics, answer common questions, and offer clear, helpful guidance.

My hope is that you’ll find something useful here, even if it’s just a small insight that helps you and your dog. If that happens, I’ve already reached my goal.

Everything on this blog is researched carefully and, in some cases, created in collaboration with professionals.

Still, please remember: this blog is not a substitute for a veterinarian. If something feels off or you’re unsure, always consult a vet in person. Many vets now even offer online video appointments if that’s easier for you.

Feel free to send me feedback, comments, or suggestions anytime. I’d love to hear from you.

Thanks for reading,
Kris
